Public Liability Insurance
Public Liability insurance offers protection against claims from members of the public for injury, property loss, or damage that arises due to your business activities.
Public Liability insurance is essential for any business that interacts with the public, whether directly or indirectly, as accidents can occur despite our best efforts to prevent them.

Accidents can happen at any time, and as a business owner, the risks are even greater. You have a duty of care to avoid causing injury or damage to third parties or their property. If an accident does occur, having a public liability policy can protect you against claims from third parties. While public liability insurance isn’t typically mandatory in Ireland, it’s your responsibility to decide whether to have this coverage in place.
Common add-ons include employers’ liability and product liability insurance. Employers’ liability typically offers coverage up to a standard limit of €13 million for 6 to 8 employees, protecting you against claims made by your staff. Product liability insurance safeguards you from claims related to faulty installations or goods. If your business involves multiple trades, a more comprehensive business insurance policy may be a better fit. The most frequent claims involve incidents like slips, trips, and falls.
